Do you wish for longer, thicker and darker eyelashes? Do the thinning eyebrows give out your real age? LATISSE - an FDA-approved treatment for hypotrichosis of the eyelashes (and eyebrows) - will help you to combat the problem.
LATISSE is a 0.03%.ophthalmic solution of Bimatoprost.
LATISSE is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment for Hypotrichosis which is inadequate or thin eyelashes.
LATISSE is clinically proven to promote the growth of eyelashes. Its active ingredient - Bimatoprost - is believed to lengthen the lashes and keep them from falling out.
LATISSE was discovered while treating glaucoma patients with bimatoprost: after receiving bimatoprost eye drops glaucoma patients were returning to their ophthalmologist with longer and thicker eyelashes. Allergan then developed the product into a safe topical application to achieve luscious eyelashes.
LATISSE transforms your eyelashes from
These three main benefits of LATISSE become noticeable within 6 to 8 weeks as your lashes get longer, thicker and darker.
LATISSE can also be used to enhance thinning eyebrows.
LATISSE works gradually, with full results at about 16 weeks.
The recommended dosage is one application nightly to the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes only.
Once nightly, start by ensuring your face is clean, makeup and contact lenses are removed. Remove an applicator from its tray. Holding the sterile applicator horizontally, place one drop of LATISSE on the tip of the applicator. Immediately draw the applicator carefully across the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes) going from the inner part of your lash line to the outer part. Blot any excess solution beyond the eyelid margin. Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite upper eyelid margin using a new sterile applicator. This helps minimize any potential for contamination from one eyelid to another.
If any LATISSE solution gets into the eye proper, it will not cause harm. The eye should not be rinsed.
Additional applications of LATISSE will not increase the growth of eyelashes.
Contact lenses should be removed prior to application of LATISSE and may be reinserted 15 minutes following its administration.
Do not apply in your eye or to the lower lid. If you miss a dose, don’t try to “catch up.” Just apply LATISSE solution the next evening.
The most common side effects after using LATISSE are an itching and/or eye redness. LATISSE may cause other less common side effects such as darkening of the skin of the eyelid, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids.
