Aquamid
If you are looking for a reliable permanent lip filler, look no further. Here, on Anna’s Cosmetics, I am offering you the best quality medical aesthetics made in Europe and USA, such as permanent fillers. One of them is Aquamid.
PERMANENT LIP FILLER THAT LASTS FOR UP TO 7 YEARS
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected into soft tissue. This is done to correct wrinkles as well as to increase volume in specific areas. You may just be learning about dermal fillers or you may already love using them. Either way, it’s possible you haven’t heard of a dermal filler Aquamid. That’s because hyaluronic acid fillers get most of the press. While hyaluronic acid is a very good and safe substance, it has one big shortcoming — when injected into soft tissues, it quickly degrades. Dermal filler Aquamid, on the other hand, is known as a permanent filler.
WHAT IS A PERMANENT FILLER?
Dermal fillers can be classified according to their durability, and there are three kinds:
1. Temporary fillers that provide results lasting three to six months
2. Semi-permanent fillers that last at least 18 months
3. Permanent fillers
If a dermal filler is made with substances that the human body can’t metabolize or absorb, it’s considered permanent.
Dermal filler Aquamid is an injectable filler made up of water (97.5 %) and a polymer called polyacrylamide (2.5 %) that cannot be reabsorbed by the body.
Polyacrylamide is only one of the substances a permanent filler can be based on. Injectable liquid silicon and polymethyl-methacrylate, or PMMA, are the other two.
Since it doesn’t degrade over time, results of treatment with a permanent filler Aquamid last for many years without the need for repeat treatments in the short term. It is almost like having lip implants done.
HOW DOES AQUAMID WORK?
Key to the way Aquamid filler works is the fact that it remains soft once it has been injected. The body absorbs the water content, while the polyacrylamide becomes encapsulated. A thin layer of connective tissue then envelops the gel. The polyacrylamide stays as flexible as the body’s own tissue, which lets it become a supple and stable part of that connective tissue, remaining at the spot where it was injected without breaking down over time.
Other products that provide results that last longer than 12 months are often composed of microparticles suspended in a gel, but a permanent filler Aquamid does not contain microparticles. With these other fillers, the increases in volume are due to a tissue reaction in response to a foreign body. This creates a risk of skin hardening and the formation of nodules, something you don’t have to worry about with Aquamid.
Another advantage of this permanent filler is that you will see the results immediately. After injecting Aquamid, the doctor can lightly mold the area so that the contours are exactly as you want them. With other types of filler, you may have to wait days or even a couple of weeks for the filler to settle before you get to see the final outcome.
WHAT AQUAMID IS USED FOR?
Most of the time, dermal filler Aquamid is used to enhance the lips. Also, it treats the same types of facial lines and folds that could be fixed with hyaluronic acid fillers except the patient wants a more permanent solution. Doctors can utilize Aquamid dermal filler to correct loss of facial volume and to reduce depressions in the skin due to scars and acne. It is also used for treating lines that run down from the nose to the corners of the mouth known as nasolabial folds, or are set between the eyebrows – the glabellar. Therefore, dermal filler Aquamid is ideal for making lips fuller, nasolabial folds invisible and cheekbones more defined.
Occasionally, two sessions are recommended to obtain the desired corrections. Afterwards, however, you’ll get to enjoy a new, improved appearance for years to come.
