HOW DOES AQUAMID WORK?

A thin layer of connective tissue then envelops the gel. The polyacrylamide stays as flexible as the body’s own tissue, which lets it become a supple and stable part of that connective tissue, remaining at the spot where it was injected without breaking down over time.

Other products that provide results that last longer than 12 months are often composed of microparticles suspended in a gel, but a permanent filler Aquamid does not contain microparticles. With these other fillers, the increases in volume are due to a tissue reaction in response to a foreign body. This creates a risk of skin hardening and the formation of nodules, something you don’t have to worry about with Aquamid.
